As host of
the nationally syndicated radio show, "The Grateful Dead Hour"
and the author of several books on the band, David Gans name is intimately
tied to the legendary band. But well before all this, Gans was a
singer-songwriter of his own calling. He is touring behind the recent release, "Solo
Acoustic," a live recording that features original tunes as well as covers by Jerry
Garcia ("Brokedown Palace"), Gram Parsons ("Return of the
Grievous Angel") and Martin Mull ("Normal"). Admission is $10 at the Heartland
