GANS,

Sunday, Heartland Cafe, 7000 N. Glenwood.
As host of the

the author of several
books on the band, David Gans name is intimately tied to
the legendary group. But well before all this, Gans was a singer-songwriter
of his own calling. The folk-rock troubadour is in the midst
of a "solo electric" tour, in which he uses an electronic
looping device
that allows him to create complex musical settings for guitar improvisations.
Admission is $8 at both venues, the Boulevard Cafe
(773-384-8600) and
the Heartland Cafe, 7000 N. Glenwood (773-465-8005).
