FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE CRITICS HAVE SPOKEN!

LOU DOG PROVES BARK IS AS BIG AS HIS BITE WITH 61 OLD DEPOT

The power of his songs and his talent as an arranger will make you a believer. SoundStage

PHILADELPHIA -- From the New York Press to All Music Guide and beyond, the media buzz is swelling around LOU DOGs latest release 61 OLD DEPOT, a gritty, street-wise rock album that shows a musical maturity beyond the DOGs years.

In a 5-STAR review, Pulse Weekly called 61 OLD DEPOT a truly poetic musical masterpiece, while SoundStage declared: A number of punk-influenced discs have been released to great acclaim in the last year, but few show the range or ability exhibited in 61 OLD DEPOT. Thats but a small sample of the praise LOU DOG has received on this no-frills, gritty yet very melodic (New York Press) album thats making its mark on the indie scene. As All Music Guide confirmed, 61 OLD DEPOT demonstrates that LOU DOG is deserving of wider recognition.

The full-length follow-up to LOU DOGS critically acclaimed, early '03 EP, High Speed Secrets, 61 OLD DEPOT is a sharply poetic, dangerously honest, raw realization of another winter spent in Philadelphia and summer spent in the Hamptons along with producer Bogdan Hernik (Session Movement, Monster Magnet).

Elements of Morrison-like spoken word, Sonic Youth-like screaming vocals and guitars and White Stripes-sounding candidness, combined with LOU DOGs unique voice and incomparable skills as a songwriter, create the straightforward rock album for which music listeners have been demanding.

Mastered by Fred Kevorkian (White Stripes, Iggy Pop) the finished product sounds exactly as LOU DOG envisioned.

ï¿½I think 61 OLD DEPOT sounds like a rock record should," says LOU DOG. "It sounds like the band is in the room with you.

As with his last release, LOU DOG played just about all of the instruments heard on 61 OLD DEPOT sans the drums, which were tracked by Zil, of Hybrid/Sony recording artists Peppers Ghost. It's LOU DOG, alone, who creates an exposed, passionate mix of songs that draws in the listener with its natural flow from track to track.

As a special offering, LOU DOG uses modern technology to everyones advantage.  A prolific songwriter, he created another albums worth of self-produced material called LOU DOG: FINISHED AND FORGOTTEN. This can only be obtained by getting the link and password from the CD booklet, which directs the listener to a secret web site on which the additional album can be downloaded.

Listen to LOU DOGs new record 61 OLD DEPOT, download the extra album FINISHED AND FORGOTTEN online. Whatever you do, dont miss the latest display from this chameleon-like rocker.
